Goodbye Chongqing, we will remember you forever!

Sorry for the 1 day hiatus. Our day started at 5:00am to get ready to leave Chongqing, the birth city of our kids! Kind of a sad day as we really enjoyed our time here. The people that we met were very friendly. This is Ian at the Holiday Inn (insert ad here) he befriended my friend Jai as soon as he walked through the doors with his distinctive cowboy hat on. I got to know him well too as he became our guide to the city. Ian was the "go to" guy for almost everything Chongqing! He was very patient when showing Jai and my dad the town (key word "dad") We will miss him and the city even though it is known as "the furnace" in China! 37 C today!

"What? I'm trying to make sure I know where the exits are if I have to ditch this plane. I can't rely on these slowpokes! In my analysis I have the advantage if the cabin fills with smoke. I'm already at floor level when I crawl (even if I can only crawl backwards right now). I figure I can crawl under the seats and straight to the exit bypassing all the panicking grownups! Olivia, its every baby for themselves!)"

Olivia is a peaceful child, she sleeps well even on the plane. Both girls travelled very well on the plane in fact they enjoy the turbulence. They like site seeing on the bus too.
At the airport we were parked next to a bus full of women - It was funny to watch all the girls with camera flashes going off and waving and ooogling me. What? You mean they were interested in the babies only? Shattered illusions...

The stunned looks maybe from the fact that Alicia and Olivia have just heard the "snap" of the rubber gloves from doctor at the embassy clinic in Beijing. All the babies were required to be examed before immigration would allow them into Canada. This is the last place and the last chance for parents to refuse the adoption if there are any medical complications. We have heard there have been cancelled adoptions due to certain problems found with the children - not in our group of parents. How can you not keep these beautiful babies - I can eat them up! (not literally although you may wonder with me)
